#GWPREvent: Networking breakfast of the women's network

“With female power, just do it.” That was the motto of the network meeting of the Global Women in PR (GWPR) association, which took place on June 6th in the offices of the dpa subsidiary news aktuell in Berlin. Around 50 women from the communications industry were guests.

Susanne Marell, founding member of the GWPR and host of the event, discussed the topics of courage to start a business, successes & setbacks, prejudices in the workplace, the compatibility of career and family, and the importance of women's networks such as that of the GWPR with Anna Alex, managing director of Outfittery, and Solveig Schulze, manager of Lufthansa Innovation Hub GmbH.

“To motivate women to take further career steps, to guide them further upwards and to make them resilient to the challenges of top management – ​​these are the goals of our association,” explains Edith Stier-Thompson, founding member of GWPR and managing director of news aktuell.

"The diverse experiences and practical tips of successful female managers are particularly valuable and help you to follow your own path and persevere even when faced with headwinds," adds Marell. It's about inspiring and motivating other women.

After the conversation with Anna Alex and Solveig Schulze, including a subsequent question and discussion session, the communications professionals held intensive discussions on the topic of the morning.
