Munich tattoo fan plays against TV Germany

App is entering a new round. After the app for the live show “Alle gegen Einen” on ProSieben was largely overwhelmed in the opening broadcast last Saturday, the broadcaster and license partner Banijay Nordic carried out an intensive error analysis - and promise a perfectly functioning app for the next live show next Saturday.

“The failure of our app was very annoying and in no way foreseeable for us,” explains IT expert Andy Hoskings, Managing Director at Banijay Nordic Mobile and responsible for the app for the show.

"There was a data jam on our hosting services while transmitting the app users' information. This led to an overload of the system as all the data was first accumulated and then passed on all at once. We always prepare for much larger amounts of data than we actually expect, but our system is not designed to process such large amounts of data at once."

Incidentally, ProSieben was not the only TV show with IT problems last Saturday. "On the Norwegian broadcaster NRK, the voting system for the ESC preliminary round broke down completely - at the same time that the 'All against one' app was overwhelmed. Here too, it was due to an enormous flow of data," explains Hoskings.

“All against One”, on February 22nd at 20:15 p.m. live on ProSieben and on Joyn.

"We have made significant adjustments and installed a backup system. We will do everything we can to ensure that the app works as smoothly again on Saturday as it did on every show in the first season."

In the new edition of "All against One," Michael from Munich wants to prove himself rich live on ProSieben. "I often have a good (gut) feeling, a bit of experience and a touch of logic. I think this combination and the desire to experiment are a good prerequisite," says the 33-year-old media designer and tattoo fan.

Michael or a TV viewer – who will come out on top in the end and win up to 100.000 euros?
