Great response for Hope@Home

The invitation of the creative musical all-rounder Daniel Hope into his living room has met with a wide response. The first episodes of the new Arte series Hope@Home on Arte Concert and the social media channels are seeing rapidly increasing numbers of views.

In times of isolation and cultural “shutdown”, the star violinist is making a statement together with Arte and is playing his way into the hearts of the audience at home with his guests at Hope@Home.

Hope will be welcoming you into his living room at least until April 7th – every day for 30 minutes at 18.00 p.m. live on Arte Concert as well as on the Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Accompanied by pianist Christoph Israel, he interprets both classical and popular works – and his repertoire is full of surprising discoveries.

Daniel Hope invites guests to make music together - of course at the required safety distance. The second episode of Hope@Home with Max Raabe on March 26th already achieved over 33.000 views on the Arte channels within half a day.

In the coming days, Heike Makatsch, Katharina Thalbach, Sebastian Koch and other guests are expected in Daniel Hope’s living room for spontaneous concerts and discussions.

“The response to Hope@Home has overwhelmed me. Hundreds of people send me comments and personal messages every evening from all over the world. It’s comforting to know that we can connect from living room to living room in these difficult times and find strength in music,” said Hope.
