Filming took place both in the studio and at unusual outdoor locations. In “MasterChef Celebrity”, the celebrities face a wide variety of tasks such as team and individual competitions as well as duels.

Their respective dishes will be judged by top chef and new addition to the jury Meta Hiltebrand and the two TV and star chefs Nelson Müller and Ralf Zacherl.

Christian Asanger, Vice President Entertainment at Sky Deutschland, on the importance of the show: "Masterchef is one of the most popular brands on our platform and there is great anticipation for the new season. The success story continues with the celebrity spin-off. Eleven top-class celebrity candidates and three highly qualified judges - this will be a feast for all fans of the format."

The filming of the spin-off “MasterChef Celebrity” was largely carried out without single-use plastic both in front of and behind the camera, and the CO2 emissions from the show production were reduced to a minimum through the use of hybrid and CNG vehicles as well as other measures relating to paper, electricity and waste separation.
