Sandra Subel becomes Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Axel Springer

Axel Springer appoints Sandra Subel as “Head of Diversity and Inclusion”. The position is newly created. This is intended to accelerate the promotion of a culture of diversity, belonging and creativity.

Sandra Subel (34) will become Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Axel Springer effective July 1, 2020. In this newly created position, she will promote the expansion of diversity and the strengthening of the culture of belonging and innovation at national and international levels throughout the company.

Sandra Subel will report to Florian Klages, Head of People & Culture at Axel Springer, and will work closely with the managers of all areas at Axel Springer.

Julian Deutz, CFO and CHRO at Axel Springer, says: "To remain successful, it is no longer enough to bring in the brightest minds. Fully developing our creativity requires individual freedom. Before Sandra Subel joined Axel Springer in October 2019, she worked at Accenture in the areas of innovation and change management. She holds an MBA from the Poznań University of Economics and Business and Georgia State University.
