The filming of the new Lena Odenthal crime scene
Misogyny as a motive for murder? In “Tatort – Das Verhör” Lena Odenthal and Johanna Stern distrust the modern, open-minded surface of their main suspect.
Esther Wenger is directing the 75th Tatort from Ludwigshafen based on a script by Stefan Dähnert. Along with Ulrike Folkerts and Lisa Bitter, Götz Otto, Katrin Röver and Jonathan Müller are in front of Cornelia Janssen's camera.

Investment banker Ann-Kathrin Werfel is brutally murdered. The first suspicion falls on her ex-husband, carpenter Patrick Werfel, whom she had accused of domestic violence.
However, he presents detectives Lena Odenthal and Johanna Stern with a well-attested alibi. Evidence from the location where the body was found leads the detectives to Hajo Kessler, a soldier in the German army.
Kessler claims not to have known Ann-Kathrin Werfel, but his car was seen near the site where the body was found. When questioned, he appears correct and charming.
Filming will continue until the end of June in Ludwigshafen, in the Baden-Baden area and at the Franco-German Brigade in Müllheim/Baden. “Tatort – The Interrogation” will be broadcast next year.
But he tends to have outbursts - and these seem to have something to do with the fact that it is women who are questioning him. Lena Odenthal is convinced that there is a deep-seated hatred of women hidden in the suspect's psyche.
While Johanna Stern investigates the suspect's surroundings, the interrogation increasingly turns into a game of cat and mouse between Kessler and Lena Odenthal, who does everything she can to corner him.
“Tatort – Das Verhör” is a production of the SWR, executive producer is Nils Reinhardt. Other roles are played by Marco Reimers, Emre Aksizoglu, Annalena Schmidt, Max Tidof and Peter Espeloer.
