Drama thriller series – Sky shows first trailer of “Munich Games”

Sky has now released the first trailer for “Munich Games”. The six-part drama thrillerSeries can be seen in a double episode with episodes one and two from September 4th on Sky One.

After that, Sky One will broadcast one episode every Sunday. The first two episodes will be available on Sky Q on demand and the streaming service Wow from September 2nd.

“Munich Games” is offered in a purely German version as well as in the original version with switchable German subtitles for the foreign language passages.

The fast-paced and gripping political thriller series comes from the author of the international TV hit “Fauda” – Michal Aviram – and tells the story of two agents, an Israeli and a German with Lebanese roots, who must work together to prevent an impending terrorist attack.

Munich 2022: As a sign of peace and remembrance of the victims of the 1972 terrorist attack, a friendly football match between an Israeli and a German team is planned.

Police and intelligence services on all sides are on high alert to ensure the safety of the event.

But when Oren Simon, a Berlin-based Mossad agent, intercepts a message on a dark web forum just days before the game, he is paired with Maria Köhler, a German LKA officer with Lebanese roots, to make sure that history does not repeat itself.

The six-part series, which deals with topics such as geopolitics, information manipulation and the increasing threat of extremism around the world, is being brought to the screen as part of Sky's growing range of dramas.

“Munich Games” brings together a brilliant multi-national creative team in front of and behind the camera and was shot in German, Hebrew, Arabic and English.

The series was created by Michal Aviram, who wrote the six scripts together with Martin Behnke. Director Philipp Kadelbach staged a highly emotional drama in intense and captivating images.

The Sky Original is a co-production by Amusement Park Film, CBS Studios and Sky Studios.

The series is produced by Amelie von Kienlin, Daniel Brühl, Malte Grunert from Amusement Park Film and Meghan Lyvers from CBS Studios act as executive producers.

As well as Michal Aviram and Philipp Kadelbach as well as Frank Jastfelder and Julia Jaensch from Sky Studios. Martin Behnke is co-executive producer.

“Munich Games” is supported by the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern (FFF), the German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF) and the Czech Film Fund.

The series will be broadcast in all Sky markets such as Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, UK and Ireland.

Paramount Global Content Distribution holds the international distribution rights for the series outside of the Sky markets.
