The new documentary about the "St. Pauli Killer"

Perfect for all true crime fans! In a new documentary, RTLZwei will show the series of murders from the 5s in the Hamburg neighborhood on January 22th at 15:1980 p.m.

Werner "Mucki" Pinzner made headlines around the world as the so-called "St. Pauli Killer". He executed pimps in a brutal manner on behalf of a red-light district bigwig. The case is also covered in three episodes in an accompanying podcast.

The sex business on the Reeperbahn was booming in the 1980s. One brothel followed the next and the most sinful mile in the world lived up to its name.

Many people were drawn under her spell, so that brothel owners and pimps increasingly had to compete for customers. And suddenly a man appeared who later became famous as the Craftsman of Death.

Tape recordings and protocols prove that he terrorized Hamburg's red-light district for 14 months. In the RTLZwei documentary, local bigwigs who knew Werner "Mucki" Pinzner personally and trembled before him speak.

Investigators recount their spectacular hunt for the criminal, revealing many secrets along the way. And one thing is certain: their investigative methods have had a lasting impact on police work.

However, not everything has been clarified yet and some statements are still considered contradictory. The documentary puts pieces of the puzzle together, reconstructs elaborate reenactments and provides key moments and insights into the staid world of the married killer.

Normally, a manhunt ends with the arrest of the perpetrator - but not in this case. Pinzner's murderous climax only came after his arrest. The exciting case is also covered in an accompanying podcast.

In three episodes, listeners will be treated to exciting insights and details about the famous “St. Pauli Killer.” The first episode will be released on January 5th, coinciding with the broadcast of the documentary.
