The first race is already taking place today on “Rennsport”, a racing simulation from the game developer Games Publisher “Competition Company” and home of the leading sim racing league ESL R1.
That's what it's about
A total of six events make up the racing calendar for the 2023/24 season. After the five race weekends, which take place between December 10, 2023 and March 10, 2024, the grand finale will take place on April 6, 2024.
“The Porsche Esports Carrera Cup Germany 2024 promises even more action and absolute excitement right up to the final for sim racers and fans,” says Steffen Schmitter, Project Manager Brand Partnerships at Porsche Germany.
A prize pool of 25.000 euros for the first three places in the PECCD24.
On each race weekend, a pre-qualification session in hot lap mode takes place on Fridays and Saturdays for 60 minutes each.
The twelve drivers with the best times qualify for the main event on Sunday. The Sunday event consists of two races: First, the sim racers fight in qualifying for the best starting positions for the first race.
The result of the first race determines the starting grid for the second race, which counts towards the points classification. The twelve best drivers secure a place in the final after the five races of the season.
The race will take place on traditional international circuits in the standard vehicle Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992).
