The joint streaming network of ZDF and ARD is taking shape. It will initially launch in the next few weeks with recommendations for documentaries and culture.
After evaluating the first experiences, this networking will be extended to all genres.

The next steps will be a joint search across both media libraries and a one-time login for both media libraries.
In the future, all content will always be played wherever users are, regardless of whether it is ARD or ZDF content.
ZDF and ARD have been working together for a year and a half on an in-depth technological partnership that ensures the greatest possible networking without undermining journalistic competition.
This also opens up the possibility of networking with European partners.
In recent months, content from Phoenix, Arte, Funk and 3sat has already been integrated into both media libraries.
In addition, initial contacts with ORF and SRG for possible participation have already been made.
Accessibility is also part of the project: the broadcasters aim to develop a common user experience in this area in the medium term.
The idea is to have a uniform menu navigation and symbols for functions such as “subtitles” or “audio description”.
