Esther Sedlaczek stays with the “Sportschau”
Esther Sedlaczek will remain presenter of the “Sportschau” until 2029 - the ARD extended the contract with the 39-year-old for another four years.
"Four years ago, it was exactly the right step for me to go to ARD and the 'Sportschau'. I really enjoy the work - I was welcomed with open arms. I am all the more pleased that we have agreed to work together for another four years," says Esther Sedlaczek.
Since 2021, Esther Sedlaczek has presented, among other things, the "Sportschau Fußball-Bundesliga" on ARD and live football broadcasts.
She has also worked as a presenter at major football events, the Olympic Games and the 2022 European Championships.
The “Sportschau” is one of the best-known and most successful sports programs in Germany, which has been broadcast on the public television channel ARD since June 4, 1961.
It is produced by Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) in Cologne and has developed over the years into a central part of sports reporting.
