Germany on the hunt: “Most Wanted – Who will escape?”

In the new Joyn original "Most Wanted – Who Escapes?", 15 celebrities escape from prison. Their goal is to stay free for five days.

Three hunters begin the pursuit. They receive the GPS coordinates of the fleeing targets at regular intervals.

The public plays a crucial role in this cat-and-mouse game: anyone can provide information about the targets' whereabouts via the Joyn app, social networks, and by phone.

However, the hunted are also dependent on the support of the population because they have neither money nor a mobile phone or personal belongings with them.

“Most Wanted” is based on the successful Dutch adventure format of the same name, developed by Signal.Stream and licensed by Talpa Studios.

Thomas Münzner, Joyn's programming director, says: "'Most Wanted' takes the Joyn experience to a whole new level. Why? Joyn users don't just consume content; they are part of the show themselves: Anyone, anywhere and at any time, can become an escape helper or witness."

He continued: "There has never been anything like this on the German market. In the Netherlands, the format has been enjoying incredible success for years. Now Joyn is bringing this special mix of adventure and Reality-Program finally to Germany.”

Cheerio Entertainment is producing "Most Wanted – Who Escapes?" Filming will begin in early May 2025. The show will air just a few days later – free on Joyn.

In the Netherlands, the reality escape and chase game broke new records on the streaming service Videoland in October 2024 and will return for a second season in 2025.
