Lotto legends will host the live 6aus49 draw for the first time today.

For the first time in the over 70-year history of Lotto 6aus49, two well-known faces will jointly present the live drawing of the lottery numbers.

Franziska Reichenbacher and Miriam Audrey Hannah are appearing together on camera today. This rare moment is the emotional highlight of the anniversary year.

An overview of the lottery fairies

Franziska Reichenbacher became the Lotto presenter in 1998 and hosted the live Lotto draw on ARD until June 2013. Today she presents the program "Lotto am Samstag" on ARD, every Saturday at 19:57 pm.

Since July 2013, the live drawing of the lottery numbers has taken place on the internet. This drawing is produced in Saarbrücken by Saarländischer Rundfunk and Globe TV.

The winning lottery numbers for all of Germany are drawn twice a week – on Wednesdays at 18:25 p.m. and Saturdays at 19:25 p.m. Miriam Audrey Hannah has been the face of this live draw since 2017.

In addition to hosting the live lottery draw, Miriam Audrey Hannah has been presenting the artist initiative "Music made in Germany" for the radio stations RPR1 and Radio Regenbogen since 2012. Both stations are part of Audiotainment Südwest.

The anniversary year and the campaign

Under the motto of the current Saartoto-Campaign “Luck comes from Saarbrücken” is the motto for the “70 years of Lotto 6aus49” anniversary celebration.

The DLTB (German Lotto and Toto Block) accompanies the anniversary with stories, background information and insights into seven decades of lottery tradition.

Jan Riedesel, responsible for the draw at Saartoto, says: “70 years of Lotto 6aus49 – that means tradition and modernity. We are proud to have been able to continue the success story with the live draw on the internet for more than twelve years.”
