On the program: Gustav Mahler's monumental 6th and 7th symphonies.
The tour begins on May 14 and 15 in Amsterdam, where the orchestra will perform at the 2025 Mahler Festival.
This will be followed by stops in Hamburg, Dresden, Prague (May 20 and 22), and Warsaw (May 23). The tour includes a total of eight concerts in five European cities.
Mahler's music is part of the CSO's regular repertoire: His 5th Symphony was first performed in Chicago in 1907.
Since its founding in 1891, the orchestra has delighted audiences with its impressive travel passion: in over 130 years, the CSO has toured 64 times – in 29 countries on five continents.
Most recently, the ensemble caused a sensation in January 2025 with a celebrated US tour under Riccardo Muti.
