General knowledge – Jörg Pilawa continues quizzing
In the second season of “The Great General Knowledge Quiz,” starting Thursday, May 29, 2025, Jörg Pilawa will once again give passersby in German city centers the chance to win 50.000 euros.
Anyone who answers Fabian Köster’s questions correctly on the street qualifies as a candidate for “The Big General Knowledge Quiz” and can play for the prize in Jörg Pilawa’s studio.
In several quiz rounds, the candidates challenge each other and try to prove their general knowledge in multiple-choice questions, picture puzzles or sorting games and at the end to win 50.000 euros.
“The Big General Knowledge Quiz” will run with six episodes starting May 29, 2025 – every Thursday at 20:15 p.m. on Sat.1 and on Joyn.
The format is a German televisionQuizz, which was originally broadcast on Sat.2011 in 1 and has been back in the program in a new edition since 2024.
The current version is hosted by Jörg Pilawa, while Johannes B. Kerner hosted the first season in 2011.
The questions range from simple knowledge questions to tricky topics from different areas such as geography, history, sports or language.
The whole thing comes alive with surprising and often funny answers from the street candidates, which entertain the audience and encourage them to guess along.
The mix of street surveys and studio quizzes makes for a varied and entertaining show.
