New home for "Musical Today"
Since January 2025, the musical magazine “Musical Today” has been published under the umbrella of the Theaterverlag Friedrich Berlin, a subsidiary of the DFV Media Group.
This means that the young Magazine into the renowned publishing offer alongside titles such as “Opernwelt”, “Theater heute” and “Tanz”.
“Musical Today” was founded in March 2024 by Orpheus Verlag.
Even under the new publishing management, the editorial team will remain with the proven team around editor-in-chief Iris Steiner, who is also managing director, and editorial director Florian Maier.
Supported by around 40 freelance authors working from Hamburg to New York, the magazine offers exciting insights and current content for musical fans.

The move to Theaterverlag Friedrich Berlin marks a strategic step towards growth and increased reach.
Through the publisher’s existing marketing structures and partnerships, “Musical Today” is set to reach even more musical lovers throughout the German-speaking region in the future.
The magazine remains true to its proven concept and continues to appear four times a year.
