AI Innovations – Reply AI Music Contest & Film Festival 2026
The technology company Reply is launching a new round of its international creative competitions – with a clear statement: Artificial intelligence as a tool, not as a replacement for human creativity.
Reply will once again host the Reply AI Music Contest and the Reply AI Film Festival in 2026. Both competitions are aimed at creatives, filmmakers, musicians, and innovation professionals worldwide.
Two competitions, one vision
This year's motto is "Imaginatio Nova" – an invitation to explore a new era of artistic creation, in which AI serves as a catalyst for previously unimaginable forms of expression.
Filippo Rizzante, CTO of Reply, sums it up perfectly: Generation technologies of Artificial intelligence They have now reached an impressive level of quality. But the human vision behind them remains crucial.
The competitions are intended to offer talented individuals worldwide a space for experimentation and to demonstrate how creativity and technology can grow together.
Reply AI Music Contest
In cooperation with the Kappa FuturFestival, one of the leading European festivals for electronic music and digital art, the Music Contest revolves around the sound of the future.
Musicians and producers are invited to explore new avenues in composition, production, and performance. The best participants will then perform live on the festival stage in Turin.
Reply AI Film Festival
The Reply AI Film Festival focuses on cinematic storytelling and audiovisual forms of expression.
The highlight will be the official premiere of the nominated short films at an event that Reply is hosting together with Mastercard in Venice in September. A distinguished jury from the film, music, creative industries, and technology sectors will evaluate the submissions.
Special prizes of the third edition
In addition to the established “AI for Good Award” – which, in partnership with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), recognizes the best short film on the UN Sustainable Development Goals – the festival is introducing a new prize this year: the “Reply AI Studios Grand Prix”.
This prize is also awarded at the Reply AI Music Contest and recognizes artists who convincingly combine bold storytelling with AI engineering, with the highest production quality and transparent, responsible work processes.

Both competitions are part of Reply Challenges, a program of technology and creative competitions that promotes innovative educational formats and specifically targets young talent.
The community now has over 150.000 members. The AI Agent Challenge was recently added.
