Cinema and automotive culture united: The idea behind the event
The format builds on the Cinéma Paradiso Festival, which Mk2 launched in 2013. What once began as a drive-inCinema Having begun under the glass roof of the Grand Palais and later hosted at the Louvre, the film now returns to its roots: experiencing film from the comfort of your car, against one of the most impressive backdrops in the motorsport world.
The partnership between these two renowned French brands represents a shared passion: Mk2 contributes its expertise in film production, distribution, and innovative event formats, while the automotive brand underscores its long-standing connection to the "seventh art." The 24 Hours of Le Mans provides the ideal setting – a venue that itself possesses an extraordinary narrative and visual power.
Seven cult films about speed and automobiles
Over three days, Drive-In Paradiso by Peugeot presents a carefully curated program of classic films and modern productions centered around the road, racing, and automotive fascination.

Friday June 12th
The evening begins with "Taxi" (Gérard Pirès, 1998) at 19:00 pm in its original version with English subtitles. The white Peugeot 406 from the film has long since become a cinematic icon. This is followed at 21:30 pm by "Rush" (Ron Howard, 2013) starring Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl – a film about rivalry and the drama of motorsport.
Saturday June 13th
Saturday begins at 7:00 PM with "OSS 117: The Spy Who Loved Me" (Michel Hazanavicius, 2006), followed by "Ford v Ferrari" (James Mangold, 2019) at 9:30 PM – a film that directly engages with the history and legend of this location. The late-night screening begins at 12:30 AM with "Gran Turismo" (Neill Blomkamp, 2023).
Sunday June 14th
Sunday starts off family-friendly: at 9:30 a.m., "Turbo – Little Snail, Big Dream" will be shown. The day concludes at 12:00 p.m. with "Fast & Furious" (Rob Cohen, 2001) – in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the first installment of the cult franchise.
Historic vehicles as living cinemas
What sets Drive-In Paradiso by Peugeot apart from other open-air cinemas is the experience itself: some members of the audience watch the screenings from inside historic and rare models. For example, "Taxi" can be viewed from inside the white Peugeot 406 that actually appeared in "Taxi 2".
Additional seating is provided by vehicles from the Peugeot Adventure Museum and private historical collections – including a green 204 Berline L'Aventure, a 504 leisure pickup from Heuliez, and a 604 Ti sedan. The vehicles are thus not only part of film history, but also become an experience in themselves.
This is how registration works
The event is free, but requires prior registration. Participation is allocated via a lottery system, with each lucky two people gaining access to a demonstration including entry to the racetrack.
Applications are accepted until May 13, 2026, via the website mk2-festivalparadiso.com. Those who are not selected in the first draw will be notified at the end of May via the Social media-Channels from Peugeot and Mk2 offer another chance.
