Entrepreneurs leave Germany – security, freedom and quality of life

More and more freelancers, small and large entrepreneurs, and consultants are turning their backs on Germany. What used to be isolated cases has now become a noticeable trend.

This also applies to the personal lives of many people in the communications and creative industries. Destinations for these new emigrants include Poland, Hungary, Portugal, Spain, the USA, and Dubai.

Security, lifestyle, taxes, bureaucracy

The motivation behind the iincreasingly strong wave of emigration is diverse, but in many discussions the same points emerge again and again: less taxes, less bureaucracy and more personal freedom – and above all: more security.

While quality of life and freedom are attractive elsewhere, many people increasingly perceive the atmosphere in Germany as dangerous, tense, regulated and stressful.

Kevlar instead of culture – bulletproof events

A worrying side aspect: In Germany, the Demand for stab- and bullet-proof clothingAccording to retailers, Kevlar products are selling better than ever before.

Last Friday, some guests at a Billy Idol concert in Munich were spotted wearing ballistic protective gear, a sight previously unthinkable. Other people are limiting their leisure activities in public spaces or moving them indoors entirely.

Land in descent – nothing happens

More and more voices are openly speaking out about what has long been discussed only behind closed doors: Germany is in free flight downwards. Economically, socially, and in terms of security policy – confidence in a positive future is crumbling more severely than is hardly possible.

New senseless acts of violence occur every day. Children are increasingly in danger. Gender segregation is even emerging in some universities. Those who can afford it are looking for alternatives. And they find them in countries that were once considered less developed but now offer more attractive conditions.

Conclusion

What began as a personal decision by individuals has long since become a widespread social movement: Germany's medium-sized businesses loses creative minds, digital creators and entrepreneurial self-employed people.

Not only to foreign countries, but also to the system. Those who stay often do so not out of conviction, but rather due to a lack of options. Carefreeness feels like a thing of the past. Whether this can even be turned into something better is more than questionable.
