The twist on “Everyone is f*cking crazy”
In the Saarland capital Saarbrücken, filming for the new Media Library-Series “Everyone is f*cking crazy” by Saarländischer Rundfunk has ended. The filming locations were Berlin and Saarbrücken.
“Everyone is f*cking crazy” is a production of Real Film Berlin GmbH under the editorial leadership of Saarländischer Rundfunk.
“With this fictional production, Saarländischer Rundfunk is supporting the ARD digital strategy with exclusive content for the ARD Mediathek,” said SR Director General Martin Grasmück.
He said: “We want to reach new target groups nationwide with high-quality digital offerings.”
SR program director Lutz Semmelrogge added: “Courageous, contemporary and young – with its media library series, SR is putting a topic of high social relevance at the center of an exciting fictional multi-part series.”
That's what it's about
Derya, Malik, Chloë and Schröder are all being treated by psychotherapist Dr. Thomalla. On the day Thomalla is found dead in front of her house, the four meet for the first time.
Between the police, ambulances and crisis intervention teams, Derya decides to continue the group's therapy under her guidance - with unexpected and sometimes fatal consequences.
The focus and narrative perspective change. Each character is the focus of their respective episodes.
The content is told in a fresh, tongue-in-cheek manner and not always politically correct. Mental illness among young people is also a topic that has never been told before.
The series raises awareness of mental health issues and encourages people to talk to each other and seek help when they need it.
The protagonists and actor of the series are part of the young target group: Derya is played by Via Jikeli (25), Malik by Arsenij Walker (22), Chloë by Maja Bons (19) and Schröder by Luise von Stein (23).
The episodes are each about 25 minutes long.
The eight episodes are aimed primarily at younger viewers, but also at the parents of this generation.
“Everyone is f*cking crazy” will probably be shown in the ARD Mediathek from autumn 2023.
