Live: Gala of the German Film Awards 2018
Curtain up for German film! For the 68th German Film Awards, movie stars and audience favorites will meet in the Palais am Funkturm in Berlin to celebrate German film. The winners of the most important German film award were voted on by the more than 1.900 members of the German Film Academy.
The evening's hosts are German Film Academy President Iris Berben and actor and presenter Edin Hasanovic. Together, they are organizing a grand gala for German cinema and its stars. During the presentation of the Lolas in a total of 18 categories, the two will receive strong support from prominent presenters and surprise guests.
The German Film Prize is the most highly endowed and prestigious award for German film. Das Erste will show the two-hour gala on Friday, April 27, 2018, from 22 p.m. The ARD joint production is being produced under the leadership of Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb).
