ZDF is filming the 400th episode of “SOKO Köln”

With the broadcast of the first episode of “SOKO Cologne” on October 22, 2003 as the second spin-off of “SOKO 5113” (later “SOKO Munich”), the success story of “SOKO” on ZDF gained momentum.

18 years later, “SOKO Köln” has become an integral part of the German crime scene and the early evening program of ZDF.

Last week, the 400th episode of “SOKO Köln” was filmed with the episode title “Lissi’s Life”, in which a 16-year-old is confronted with his origins and his identity after the violent death of his mother and learns who his father is.

Director Eibe Maleen Krebs (“Outside in my Head”), who is taking part in ZDF’s support program for young female directors, is the 37th director to direct since the series began.

On September 21, 2021 at 18:00 p.m., the “SOKO Köln” team will start the fall season with new episodes, “Enno war's”.

The investigative team of “SOKO Köln” consisted of a total of 400 detectives in the 18 episodes. Vanessa Haas (Kerstin Landsmann) has been there since the first episode and has seen many colleagues come and go.

But even when things get tough, the current team around Helena Jung (Sonja Baum), Matti Wagner (Pierre Besson), Lilly Funke (Tatjana Kästel), Jonas Fischer (Lukas Piloty) and Vanessa Haas stick together like glue.

Also indispensable are other long-standing roles such as that of forensic pathologist Dr. Philip Kraft (Thomas Clemens) and police sergeant Fritz Zatopek (Hans-Joachim Heist)…
