“Polizeiruf 110” – the filming of “Cottbus kopflos”

In Cottbus the shooting for “Polizeiruf 110: Cottbus kopflos” (working title) has come to an end.
The film was directed by Christoph Schnee. The screenplay was written by Axel Hildebrand and Mike Bäuml.
That's what it's about
In the run-up to the Cottbus Carnival, the Pole Jurek Bukol (Sigi Polap), a float builder, is found dead in his workshop under mysterious circumstances.
Detective Inspector Vincent Ross (André Kaczmarczyk) is informed by his Cottbus colleague Alexandra Luschke (Gisa Flake).
Together with Karl Rogov (Frank Leo Schröder), who supports them from the station in Swiecko, they take over the further investigations.
A fire in Bukol's workshop not only led to his death, but also destroyed his float for the carnival parade. Bukol's family is in shock.
Filming has been running since February 28th in Cottbus, Berlin and Potsdam.
His ex-wife Petra (Julika Jenkins) and his two children, Dawid (Niklas Bruhn) and Krystina (Pia-Micaela Barucki), had met Jurek the evening before at a family celebration.
Jurek Bukol was generally considered a troublemaker and often got into arguments with his fellow human beings.
Investigators are wondering to what extent a trial two years ago in which Bukol was criminally convicted could have anything to do with his death?
Did Bukol take revenge by keeping his motives for the parade float under wraps?
The case leads Ross and Luschke into a world of mutual dependencies, favoritism and ominous machinations – and all this in the middle of the carnival season.
The broadcast is planned for autumn 2023 on Das Erste.
Other roles are played by Tomek Nowicki, Klaudiusz Kaufmann, Robert Gonera, Andreas Döhler, Johanna Falckner, Niklas Bruhn, Pia-Micaela Barucki, Christoph Bach, Julika Jenkins and Julia-Maria Köhler.
