Next Saturday (16 December 2017), n-tv will be giving an exciting insight into the extraordinary history of the Skoda brand in its programme 'The Skoda Story' from 11:10 a.m.

In their 45-minute documentary, authors Anni Brück and Timo Gramer describe the beginnings of the company in 1895 in an informative and entertaining documentary. At that time, company founders Václav Laurin and Václav Klement began producing bicycles in Mladà Boleslav, Bohemia.

The story continues with this year's world premiere of the Skoda Vision E show car. With this concept, the automaker demonstrates its vision of the car of the future: battery-powered, fully connected, and equipped with numerous useful driver assistance systems to further enhance safety and comfort.

The focus of the program is on Skoda's automobiles as well as the company's economic development. The mergers with the Pilsen Skoda plant (1925) and the Volkswagen Group (1991) are examined, among other things. The n-tv report provides insights into the company's design, technical development and production departments as well as the brand's museum.

He also shows scenes from the Sachsen-Classic. In addition to Bernhard Maier, CEO of Skoda Auto, Christian Strube, Skoda Auto Board Member for Technical Development, Skoda Chief Designer Oliver Stefani and Andrea Frydlová, Director of the Skoda Museum, contemporary witnesses and employees whose families have worked for the company for generations also have their say.
