RBB Kultur becomes Radio3 – Radio new and optimized
From April 2, 2024, the cultural channel of Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) will broadcast under the name “Radio3”.
This marks the start of a programmatic realignment that will give more space to the exchange of ideas on cultural topics and cultural policy debates compared to the current offering.

The first audible change is the program “Der Morgen” from 6.00:10.00 a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX a.m. with new presenters, more spoken content and a new musical tone.
From April 6.00nd, Jörg Thadeusz, Anja Herzog, Katja Weber and Frank Meyer will alternately host the morning show from 10.00:2 a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX a.m.
They focus on current cultural events and debates and, with studio guests from science, education, Culture, politics and society on the topics of the day.
Reviewers and reporters report on new productions, events, concerts, exhibitions and interesting projects from Berlin and Brandenburg.
“Radio3” also structures the program more clearly musically than before: classical music will appear everywhere, but will have a focus on certain program segments.
During prime time and drive time, sophisticated, high-quality music from various genres, ranging from jazz to soul to singer-songwriters, underlines the topicality presented by the extended spoken word segments.
However, classical music remains the core brand of “Radio3”.
In the current morning and afternoon segments, it is the focus of attention as a journalistic topic; from 10.00 a.m. to 16.00 p.m. and from 19.00 p.m. onwards, it plays the undisputed musical lead role.
The programs “Classics until Two” (10.00:14.00 a.m. to 14.00:16.00 p.m.), the special programs “My Music” (XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.) and the concert broadcasts in the evening remain an integral part of the program schedule.
The proven music programs “Blindverkostung” with Christian Detig and guests as well as “Schrammek und Käther” will also be continued – in the future also with an audience.
Over the coming months, the editorial team will continue to develop individual formats and broadcasts and will also seek dialogue with the audience.
