HR1 Dancefloor – Premiere in Baunatal with an over-30s party

On May 30, 2025, the HR1 dance floor will come to Baunatal for the first time – coinciding with the city's 60th birthday.

In the town hall, the popular over-30s party series of the Hessian Broadcasting Corporation transforms the evening into a Dance night with hits from five decades.

HR1 and Baunatal in partnership

Hessian Broadcasting has been closely associated with the Baunatal town hall for a decade: For ten years, the show "North Hesse Celebrates Carnival" has regularly brought the audience there to celebrate.

To mark the city's anniversary, HR1 is now adding to its offerings – bringing a second major format to the city hall with the HR1 Dancefloor.

What makes the evening special

DJ Peter Baur will be playing from 20.00 pm. There's no set end time: the party will continue as long as the music plays.

Anyone who wants to hear a favorite song can fill out a music request card – DJ Baur will incorporate the requests into his playlist whenever possible.

Also present is presenter Lars-Henning Metz, whom many know from the show “HR1 am Abend” on Saturday evenings.

18 years of HR1 dance floor in Hesse

The team will also bring a photo booth so that guests can take home their own souvenir photos from the premiere evening.

The HR1 Dancefloor has been touring selected cities in Hesse for 18 years – from Bad Homburg to Bad Orb and Gießen. Hundreds of guests celebrate at each stop, enjoying the early start to the evening with dancing. Baunatal is now the latest venue for this successful tour.
