Channel Aid: YouTube goes charity
The Hamburg FABS Foundation is once again going full throttle with its Channel Aid project and has once again secured a top international act for the next concert in the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie.
On January 4, 2020, Channel Aid will present the British indie rock band Bastille, accompanied exclusively by the Baltic Sea Philharmonic Orchestra, under the artistic direction of conductor and producer Kristjan Järvi. The proceeds will go to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, which is celebrating its 2020th anniversary in 20. Advance sales start on October 18.10.2019, XNUMX at eventim.de

The conductor will be the Founding Director and Music Director of the Baltic Sea Philharmonic, Kristjan Järvi, about whom the New York Times once wrote that he was "like a reincarnation of Leonard Bernstein as a conductor of fusion bands". Bastille, known for singer Dan Smith and hits such as "Pompeii" and "Happier", will adapt to the unique location when performing with the celebrated Baltic Sea Philharmonic in the Elbphilharmonie and deliver a concert that visitors on site and all live viewers on YouTube will not soon forget.
Those who listen and watch also help the social projects supported by Channel Aid. The money that the first charity channel on YouTube raises through advertising and its activities benefits underprivileged children and young people.
The world's first YouTube charity channel has been online since July 2017 and collects donations for social projects that benefit children, among others, with every click. Just one year later, Channel Aid has made a name for itself through special concert moments with stars such as Cro and Rita Ora. The concert will also be broadcast live in 2020. Advance sales for Bastille meets Baltic Sea Philharmonic start on October 18th on Eventim. Since tickets for the previous concerts were sold out after just a few hours, you should mark the start of advance sales in red on your calendar.
Channel Aid is presenting two young YouTube stars as support acts. 14-year-old Allie Sherlock, who grew up in Dublin, is one of the most famous young European talents in the world with 2 million followers on YouTube. Madilyn Bailey from Los Angeles (USA) has almost 7 million subscribers, and her cover version of David Guetta's "Titanium" is one of the top covers on the video portal with 103 million views.

"Improving the world with influencers" - this concept is taking a spectacular step further. "On this day, we will be holding an unprecedented concert in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and streaming it live on Channel Aid. The evening will help us greatly to make the charity channel on YouTube even more well-known and to generate even more aid funds through clicks even after the concert. I am particularly pleased that we are using the proceeds to support the global movement Laureus Sport for Good, which is celebrating its 2020th anniversary in 20," says Fabian Narkus, Managing Director of the FABS Foundation, who came up with the idea.
To mark the start of the third Channel Aid live in Concert, poster flights will be supported by the outdoor advertising company Wall and, for the first time, all Bastille fans will be offered a pre-sale from MasterCard on October 17, 2019, one day before the official pre-sale starts at Eventim.
After the concert, for which tickets are sold through the ticket partner Eventim starting at 69 euros, there will be an after-show party for well-known guests and sponsors in the Hamburg fish auction hall with numerous celebrities and respected DJs. In addition to the Hamburg DJ Kai Schwarz, the well-known Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador DJane Dominique Jardin will be playing on the turntables.
All proceeds also go into the donation pot, as the costs are covered by sponsors.
The strong partners supporting “Channel Aid live in Concert Season 3” include MasterCard, Mercedes-Benz, Bulthaup, Holsten, The Westin Hotel Hamburg, Yamaha Music, Panasonic, Schweppes, KLM, Wall, Signal Iduna, Läderach, Jack & Jones, the Fischauktionshalle, Eventim and in the media sector News Aktuell and Landau Media.
