Apart from dead seagulls and stolen crab sandwiches, nothing happens in Büsum. Until the day when the mixed bowling club “The Idiots" arrives in Büsum on his annual bowling trip.
Shortly afterwards, a thin woman with a fat dog appears and claims that she overheard a murderous terrorist commando that had come to Büsum to blow up the seal bank.
The next day, the thin woman is dead. When the mayor's arm (or was it a sleeve?) is torn off and the mudflat guide is to be drowned in the tidal creek, a breathless chase begins for Drösel, while the gang strolls through Büsum unmolested and terrifies the town...
