Communication: Eckehart Rotter retires
Eckehart Rotter (65) was the voice of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) to the press for 20 years.
He was spokesman for the VDA presidents Prof. Dr. Bernd Gottschalk, Matthias Wissmann and Bernhard Mattes as well as the VDA president Hildegard Müller.
He will continue to serve as the association's press spokesman - with a focus on technology and innovation - until May 31, 2021. His successor in this role will be Moritz Krause (37).
After studying economics and graduating with a degree in economics, Rotter worked in the business editorial departments of the Esslinger Zeitung and the Stuttgarter Nachrichten before moving into association press work at what is now Südwestmetall.
At the VDA, he moderated 49 press conferences at ten international trade fair locations as well as the IAA press conferences and was responsible for all public relations work.
His successor will be Moritz Krause (37). He previously worked for the shipping company Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. The new man reports to Head of Communications Lutz Meyer.
