More than 300 hours of programming – “The History Channel” with mystery-themed month

Unusual phenomena, mysteries, enigmatic appearances, treasure hunts and mysterious places – “The History Channel” starts the new year with a mystery month and shows as part of “Mysterious January” Daily documentaries on the topic throughout the month (except January 27th).


More than 300 hours of programming include episodes from:

➡️ “Aliens in the Outback”
➡️ "The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch"
➡️ “Beyond Skinwalker Ranch – Tracking Secrets”
➡️ "Myths and Monsters"
➡️ "Oak Island - Curse and Legend"
➡️ “Beyond Oak Island – The Treasure Hunters on a Secret Mission”
➡️ “The Proof is Out There” (new episodes of season 4 from January 25th)

Numerous shows feature top-class casts including Laurence Fishburne, William Shatner, Jonathan Ross and Zachary Quinto.

The line-up for the theme month also includes episodes of “History's Greatest Mysteries” (with Laurence Fishburne), “The UnXplained with William Shatner” (start of season 4 on January 24th, German TV premiere), “Britain's Myths and Legends” (with Jonathan Ross) and “Simply Enigmatic – with Zachary Quinto”.

The new series “History's Greatest Myths – Fact or Fiction” will be broadcast in German for the first time on January 19th (six one-hour episodes every Friday from 20:15 p.m. in double episodes).

The format questions long-held ideas and traces how historical facts were distorted and modern myths emerged.

The topics covered in the new series include inventions and discoveries, Hollywood myths, war heroes, and propaganda.
