Funke: “Monocle – The Winter Weekly” is available at

This Saturday, the first German version of “Monocle – The Winter Weekly” was published, parts of which were included in the editions of the Berliner Morgenpost, the Hamburger Abendblatt and the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung.

Anyone can also read the issue for free in the respective app of the newspaper title. The first issue contains 40 pages in newspaper format and will be published with a print run of 120.000 copies.

In addition to being a supplement in the Funke titles, it was also available in selected railway station bookstores and at the largest German airports for 5 euros.

The “Winter Weekly: Christmas Special” combines exclusive features, reports and interviews from the international network of Monocle correspondents and is intended as an upscale journalistic experience in a traditional format.

The newspaper consists of several sections covering pre-Christmas topics related to culture, gastronomy, design, and fashion. For the German-language edition of the "Winter Weekly: Christmas Special," Monocle is collaborating with another newspaper publisher for the first time.

The content is created through a collaboration between the London-based Monocle editorial team and editors from the Funke Media Group in Hamburg.

Content from the English version is adopted and adapted for the German market, preserving Monocle's unique view of the world that has made the brand an international benchmark.
