Time for good music. Time for a special competition. Stefan Raab and ProSieben are celebrating the second “Free European Song Contest” – #FreeESC for short – in spring 2021.
This free, European song contest unites musical Europe on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 20:15 pm and celebrates international artists.
Who can be happy about “12 points”? Which performance is convincing? Who will win the second #FreeESC?
Stefan Raab says: "With Nico Santos, an outstanding musician won the #FreeESC in the first year. And for Germany, Helge Schneider was a real legend. Both represent the special musical quality of this new, free competition."
He continues: "This year, the 'Free European Song Contest' will have at least as high-caliber entries. Just as high-caliber as you would expect from an international competition."
The first event united viewers at prime time in May 2020 with a sensational 19,4 percent market share (14 to 49 years).
Last year, Nico Santos emerged as the winner for Spain in Stefan Raab’s first new song contest.
