In a five-part TV series, journalist and presenter Bibiana Barth embarks on an extraordinary journey of discovery through Croatia.

Under the title “B. travels: Who will take me through Croatia”, Bibiana Barth throws herself into an adventure.


The whole thing can be seen daily from 21 to 24 August and on 26 August at 19.50:14 p.m. on MDR television – and all episodes from XNUMX August on ARD Media Library.

The TV series offers exciting insights into Croatian life in five episodes.

On the prescribed route, far away from the usual tourist hotspots, the presenter is dependent on the helpfulness of the locals as she is not allowed to use public transport.

The aim of the experiment is to talk to local people and immerse yourself in their everyday lives.

In the first episode Bibiana Barth starts in the vibrant metropolis of Zagreb. From there, she will travel to the city of Zadar, 380 kilometers away, in a total of ten days.

In episode two She tries to convince a few young fishermen at the fish market in Rijeka to take her further south. But the journey begins to stall here.

It continues in episode three with the arrival in the town of Novi Vindolski. Despite the calm, a small sailing boat helps her with the next few kilometers.

In the fishing village of Klenovica, things heat up with giant scampi before Bibiana Barth continues south. episode four starts with a detour via the island of Paq, which is known for its straw flowers.

In order to get ahead faster, the protagonist then looks for rides in parking lots.

On the ninth of a total of ten travel days, episode five to an encounter with a local woman named Sandra in her jam factory.

The question of whether Bibiana Barth will reach her destination on time remains open until the very end...
