German Podcast Award 2024: Submission phase started

Starting today, podcasters from the DACH region can submit their formats for the German Podcast Award 2024.

The submission phase runs until April 2, 2024, and participants have the opportunity to submit their podcasts in six jury categories.

A special highlight this year is the automatic participation of all submissions in the voting for the “Audience Award”.

Listeners have the chance to decide on the winners in five subcategories via online voting.

For the first time, the audience will also be able to vote for the “Best Newcomer” and the “Most Exciting Format”.

The German Podcast Award 2024 not only reflects the diversity of the podcast landscape, but also allows the audience to actively participate in the award.

The German Podcast Award 2024 adapts to current podcast trends and presents six revised categories:

➡️ Best conversation
➡️ Best Audio Production
➡️ Best journalistic achievement
➡️ Best Innovation
➡️ Best Independent Podcast

To ensure that every podcast has the best chance of being recognized, the categories have been carefully selected.

Interested parties can find all the details about participation, requirements and evaluation criteria on the official website at deutscher-podcastpreis.de.

A two-stage jury process will again determine the nominees this year. In the first phase, experts will use a point-based system to select who will be announced as nominees at the beginning of June.

The final winners will then be determined in a jury meeting.

And the Audience Award allows fans to vote for their favorites in five subcategories.

From April 9 to May 20, 2024, listeners can cast one vote per subcategory on the website, for a total of five votes.

The awards will then be presented live at the official awards ceremony on July 4, 2024 in Berlin.
