Fiat Ducato chassis now with even longer wheelbase

– Additional sixth variant with 4.300 millimeter wheelbase now available.
– Maximum permissible total weight up to 4,25 tonnes.
– With 2,3-liter turbo diesel in three power levels between 96 kW (130 hp) and 130 kW (177 hp).

Fiat Professional, the van brand of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), is expanding its range of Ducato chassis with another variant. The extended wheelbase of 6 millimeters offered under the L4.300 extends the model range upwards, which previously included four different wheelbases between 3.000 and 4.035 mm and five lengths (L1 to L5).

The new L6 chassis variant is available in eight versions: as a Ducato up to a maximum total weight of 3,5 tonnes (N1), as a Ducato Maxi (including reinforced axles and chassis and more powerful brakes) up to 3,5 tonnes total weight (N1), as a Ducato Maxi up to 4,0 or 4,25 tonnes total weight (N2). This makes the new L6 chassis of the Fiat Ducato particularly suitable for the construction of large lightweight boxes or vehicle transporters, for example.

The Fiat Ducato chassis L6 is exclusively fitted with a 2,3-litre turbodiesel, which is available in three power levels: 96 kW (130 hp), 110 kW (150 hp) and 130 kW (177 hp). The modern and efficient engine is equipped with MultiJet 2 direct injection and low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation (LPEGR). It meets the strict Euro 6B emissions standard.

The new L6 chassis of the Fiat Ducato is now available at prices between 31.460 and 35.720 euros (each manufacturer's RRP excluding VAT ex works).
