Travel soap: Maren Gilzer discovers diving paradise
Maren Gilzer will travel to Egypt on November 28th on behalf of Sonnenklar.TV, where she will report live three times a day from the holiday paradise of Taba Heights.
"I'm particularly looking forward to the sun and the sea! At the moment it's too cold and cloudy here in Germany for my taste, so I can hardly wait to finally dive into the sea for swimming and snorkeling. And Egypt is perfect for that," explains the 59-year-old, who rose to fame as the letter fairy in the "Wheel of Fortune" show.
Gilzer has already traveled to the country on the Nile several times and still raves about her river cruise, her visit to Cairo and the pyramids. But the travel-loving actress has not yet seen Taba Heights. The picturesque resort on the Sinai Peninsula, set against a wild, romantic natural backdrop of mountains, desert and sea, was already a classic on Sonnenklar.TV and is now included in the channel's offering again.
Gilzer has already made a trip to the desert her sights: "I definitely want to go on a camel ride there," she enthuses. Holiday Checker Astrid Stiefel will work with Gilzer to present trips and hotels for the travel channel, which Sonnenklar.TV viewers can also book.
"Anyone who travels with us will soon feel like a star themselves, and will also receive exciting impressions and information about the destination - all live and first-hand," says Egypt expert Stiefel. Seeing holiday destinations through the eyes of prominent personalities has established itself as a popular format among viewers of the travel channel.
Before Maren Gilzer and her husband Harry Kuhlmann, Roberto and Luzandra Blanco traveled to Morocco for the Sonnenklar.TV live travel soap, Prince von Sayn-Wittgenstein and his family traveled to Malta, Harry Wijnvoord and Iris Dahlke traveled to Gambia, and Horst and Martina Naumann traveled across the Mediterranean on the MS Berlin.
