Crazy – the crime drama “Wolfsjagd” with Maria Simon

After “Polizeiruf 110”, Maria Simon plays a leading role again for the first time, in the ARD Degeto crime drama “Wolfsjagd” (working title).

When a young woman is found dead in the forest, tempers flare in a small village: Was the victim killed by a wolf? Gamekeeper Sara Jahnke (Maria Simon) supports the investigation.

In the wild nature of Brandenburg, director Jakob Ziemnicki staged this exciting story about wolves who reclaim their habitat in the human world and the question of which of the two is the real beast.

He also wrote the screenplay together with Thomas André Szabó. Benjamin Dernbecher was behind the camera. The other main actors include Jacob Matschenz, Jörg Schüttauf and Anna-Lena Schwin.

In the dense forests of Brandenburg, gamekeeper Sara (Maria Simon) finds a woman's body. Bite marks make something unimaginable seem possible: Is the young woman the first fatality of a wolf attack in centuries?!

“Wolfsjagd” (working title) is a production by U5 Filmproduktion on behalf of ARD Degeto for ARD.

The residents are already worried about a young female wolf who is getting too close to people. To prevent rumors, Inspector Laue (Jacob Matschenz) orders absolute silence.

With the help of the gamekeeper and her father Robert Jahnke (Jörg Schüttauf), the local police chief, he tries to understand the traces in the forest and comes across human bestiality: the exploitation in the nearby slaughterhouse and the illegal prostitution in a former barracks.

Does that play a role in the case? When Sara learns that another woman is missing, she thinks she knows the perpetrator...
