CEOs of the partners of the German Journalists’ Award express their appreciation for quality journalism in personal words.
All nominees will be there virtually and can look forward to finding out who will be chosen as the winner for each topic and will be connected live to discuss the winning entry.
The video recording of the award ceremony captures highlights of quality journalism for posterity.
The German Journalists’ Prize honors outstanding editorial contributions in German-language print and online media on economic and financial topics.
Publishers, editors-in-chief and department heads of leading media as well as opinion-forming representatives from business and science select the award winners as jury members.
Partners of the German Journalists’ Prize are BASF, Commerzbank, DWS, EnBW, Huawei, HypoVereinsbank, Pictet, Randstad, RWE, Siemens and Signal Iduna.
They accompany the call for tenders for the topic areas “Banking & Insurance”, “Education & Work”, “Innovation & Sustainability”, “IT & Communication”, “Mobility & Logistics”, “Transformation”, “Global Economy” and “Asset Management”.
For articles from economic sectors for which there is no separate department, the djp called “Open Topic” is awarded.
The jury receives all texts anonymously without layout: the power of the word counts. The prize money is 45.000 euros.
In total, the 100 jury members had 410 contributions from 76 media outlets, researched and written by 372 journalists from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
