Rakuten TV celebrates International Women's Day

To celebrate International Women's Day on March 8, 2020, Rakuten TV is showcasing entertaining films by outstanding female directors, actresses and screenwriters with the promotional campaign "All for one!".

This includes, for example, Juno, the cult film with Ellen Page in the role of a pregnant 16-year-old, for which screenwriter Diablo Cody won an Oscar.

The directorial debut of Marielle Heller, The Diary of a Teenage Girl, is about young Minnie, who records her experiences in a tape diary – including her affair with her mother’s boyfriend.

Perfect for International Women’s Day is Suffragette – Actions Instead of Words by Sarah Gavron. The historical drama starring Carey Mulligan tells of the beginnings of the women's movement in Great Britain and the fight for women's suffrage.

The episodic film Certain Women about the life stories of four women, features a particularly high-profile cast including US mega-stars Kristen Stewart and Michelle Williams.

Meanwhile, a true story tells Hidden Figures – Unrecognized Heroines (4K HDR), a stirring film about the African-American mathematicians Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson, who were instrumental in NASA's Mercury and Apollo programs without receiving any recognition for their achievements.

The films from the “All for One!” offer are available to buy and keep on Rakuten TV from March 6 to 15, 2020.
