In the SWR documentary “Matthias Reim – My Life is Rock 'n' Roll” on Saturday, January 13, 2023, at 23:45 p.m. on ARD, the artist gives very personal insights into his life and career full of highs and lows.
That's what it's about
He has already experienced all the ups and downs, both professionally and privately, and yet he is still not thinking about quitting: Matthias Reim (“Verdammt, ich lieb Dich”) wants to conquer the big arenas as a musician and is playing the 1.500th concert of his career in Berlin’s Wuhlheide with his family.
Unlike earlier in his career, today – after many personal and health crises – he also wants to be there for his wife and children and, above all, take care of his health.
The film follows the pop star on tour. Viewers experience the everyday life of the Reim family at home on Lake Constance and are there when he performs with rapper Finch in front of 50.000 young techno fans.
The documentary portrays the music legend as a husband, father, brother and best friend, travels back to his eventful past and accompanies him on a life full of highs, lows and comebacks.
